Heartland
K-9 Services provides K-9 training for K-9 teams from the law
enforcement, corrections, and emergency services communities. Throughout
the year, various schools are presented in the following disciplines:
Tracking/Trailing; Cadaver search (both on land and water); and Alert
Training – alerts include bark alerts, dig alerts, re-finds, passive
alerts.
One of the most popular schools is
the Cadaver school – and recent natural disasters have pointed to a
strong need for cadaver K-9 teams. The Alert school is also a popular
school, where handlers can attend and work solely on their K-9’s alerts
and indications.

These schools can be brought to any hosting agency throughout the United States. Interested departments or units can contact instructor, Jeanette Smith, to arrange a class at any time of year at smith07@hughes.net or call at (440) 223-8212. These schools are arranged on a contract basis.
If you would like to host a class and cannot afford to send the whole team or department to one of the Heartland K-9 classes in Ohio, consider bringing the instructor TO YOU. The cost is affordable.
